Cash Store Financial opens New York Stock Exchange by "Ringing the Bell"

Tomorrow, August 18, 2010, Cash Store Financial will celebrate its recent listing on the New York Stock Exchange by ringing the bell to open trading. Chairman and CEO, Gordon J. Reykdal, will be joined in the ceremony by members of Cash Store Financial's board of directors, executive officers and senior management team.

Civil war enthusiast group to meet Tuesday in Bell

BELL A local Civil War enthusiast group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17 at the Bell Community Center on Main Street in Bell. John Hance OSteen Camp #770, Sons of Confederate Veterans, will present a program with the theme Flags of the Confederacy.

The Somerville Striders Athletic Club and the wee elves organizing the 2010 Marathon Sports Somerville Jingle Bell Run donated a check for $10,000 to Mayor Joe Curtatone and Board of Alderman President Jack Connolly at City Hall on Aug. 12.
